How to send us your documents?
If you have recently purchased a new policy, we may require a few documents from you. By now, you should have received correspondence from us, which will outline the necessary documents that we require. To make the process as simple as possible, please follow the instructions below before sending your documents. Please ensure that you clearly state your policy reference number on all documents you send us.
- If you received your No Claims Bonus certificate by post, you will have to post the original document to us. We cannot accept a copy so therefore please post the original to An Post Insurance, P.O. Box 1, FREEPOST, Athlone, Co. Westmeath.
- If you received this by email, please FORWARD the original email you received from your previous insurer to [email protected]. We cannot accept screenshots so please forward the PDF version of the document you received.
If your quote is based on named driving experience we require letters from each insurance company outlining the dates insured and that there were no accidents or claims. The named driving years must be complete, consecutive years and can be emailed to [email protected]. The most recent named driving experience cannot be more than 2 years ago.
If you wish to send this by post, please send us a full clear copy of the front and back of the driving licence for all drivers on the policy along with the reference number for your policy clearly written on the document to An Post Insurance, FREEPOST, P.O. Box 1, Athlone, Co Westmeath.
Once they are of high quality, we can accept a copy of your licence as an image from your smartphone or as a scanned email attachment. If you wish to email it to us please send the document to [email protected] with your reference number included in the subject line of the email.
If you are sending in a copy of your plastic licence, please ensure all information on both the back and front of the licence is clearly visible.
For those sending a copy of a paper licence, please ensure the licence is unfolded and all edges are visible on both sides. For the front of the licence we will need to be able to see all information, including the picture, the categories the licence covers and the dates valid. For the back of the licence we will need to be able to see the entire section including the Country page, Additional information page and Endorsements page.
This is the fastest way to return your documents to us. If you are sending documents to us by email, please ensure all 4 corners are clearly visible and you include your policy reference number.
